Streatham IHC are delighted to announce Roman Cathcart will be the first new face to the Redhawks this season.
The 17 year old, Basingstoke junior has spent the last 2 seasons with the Slough Jets after a junior career that was spent solely at Basingstoke. Although only 17 years old the youngster has logged minutes in NIHL1, 2 and also managed to gain some invaluable experience with the Basingstoke Bison in the National League. Roman also represented England at Under 19s last weekend where he teamed up with his new team mate Preston Tombs in a series vs Scotland.
Welcome to the High Road Roman!
Coach Ben Paynter commented,
“Roman is someone I have had my eye on for a number of years now and I think it is a perfect time for him to come and join us in Streatham. He is big and strong, skates really well, isn’t afraid to go to the net and battle and I truly believe that if he is put in the right situations he can thrive and add some fire power to our offence.”
Roman commented,
“Hey Streatham fans, really excited to get started with you guys, hopefully here to win a couple of trophies and have some laughs along the way. Streatham is always a good group and I am excited to get involved with the guys!”
