Streatham IHC are pleased to announce that Harvey Stead will be joining The Redhawks for the 2024/25 season.
The 28 year old, right handed defensemen makes the switch from the Bees, a place he has called home for his entire career apart from a short stop at the Swindon Wildcats in 2015/16. The Bracknell Junior has a great deal of experience at a higher level as well as representing Great Britain at Under 18s and Under 20s.
Welcome to the High Road, Harvey!
Coach Ben Paynter commented,
“Harvey is someone I have known a very long time and is someone I try to secure every season. He has a magnitude of experience playing at a higher level and I can’t wait to see how he translates that experience into our line up. Transitioning defence to offence was something I felt we struggled with last season and the addition of Harvey really helps with that, he is a great skater and calm on the puck. He knowns a lot of the roster already and I think he will fit in with our group seamlessly.’
Harvey commented,
“Really excited to be joining Streatham, Paynts & I have kept in contact over the last few years about the right time for me to step down and when I made that choice it was a no brainer to come here. I've only ever heard great things about the club and have seen the success they've had over the last few years. Looking forward to doing everything I can to make sure that continues.”
