Our History

Streatham Ice Hockey Club is a British ice hockey club based in South London. Originally founded in 1932 as Streatham, the name Redskins was added in 1974. During the 1980s, we were one of the leading teams in the British Hockey League.

During the 2015/16 season, we formalised a decision that had been on the cards for some time by dropping the Redskins part of the name. During the close season, fans, players and management voted to change the name of the club to Streatham Ice Hockey Club, keeping it simple and staying true to our roots.

The New 2025/2026 Jersey!

Streatham Ice Hockey Club is officially Back on the Ice this September as we gear up for another exciting season of hockey, passion, and community spirit at the High Road.

The RedHawks will return to the ice from early September, ready to launch the 2026/27 campaign in style with a brand-new range of home and away jerseys. Final designs are currently being completed, and supporters won’t have long to wait before the new look is unveiled.

SIHC Supporters will once again be able to purchase official club jerseys and merch' at every home game from our pop-up shop, located on the balcony inside the rink. Make sure you stop by and show your support for the RedHawks throughout the new season.
