Streatham IHC are delighted to announce that the 2022-23 NIHL South 1 leading goal scorer with 38 goals, Danny Ingoldsby, will be back in the line-up after having his season cut short last term due to injury.
The Guildford junior is hoping to be back amongst the goals come September. Although only 27, the Guildford junior has a huge amount of experience at this level and in the EPL and has used that experience to be a huge part in the team’s trophy success over the last 5 years adding 86 goals and 64 assists across 104 games played for the club.
Coach Ben Paynter Commented,
“Losing Danny early in the season last year with injury was a massive blow for our offence, he has the ability to score from nothing and I feel our offence missed that at times last year. Having him back in the line-up will add another wave of offence but he also brings physicality and intensity to our game. He has the ability to put the team on his back and lead us to a big win and I hope to see that leadership again this year. He is also a massive asset off the ice and, much like Henry Aiken, is a character in the locker room making it a fun place to play your hockey.”
Danny commented,
“I'm happy to announce my return to the Streatham Redhawks! It's a shame that last season ended the way it did for me with the injury, but I'm excited to hit the ice again and reunite with some past teammates. I'm most looking forward to rekindling my romance with George Norcliffe and making this season one to remember.”
