Dylan Phillips Steps up full time

Streatham IHC are pleased to announce that Dylan Phillips will be filling the roster spot created by Matt Friend opting not to join the squad this coming season.

Dylan will be joining Danny Milton and Nik Romahs as part of our Goal Tending Trio this season. Dylan is another product of our junior programme and Redhawks fans would have had glimpses of Dylan last term as he supported duo Milton and Gregory. Dylan joins us after a spell with the NIHL2 Streatham Blackhawks and we are pleased to welcome Dylan to the squad full time.

Coach Ben Paynter commented, 

“With Matt’s change of circumstances, it has given Dylan an opportunity to join us on a full-time basis this year. When looking to fill the spot Dylan seemed the obvious person for the job. He has been skating with us over the last season and managed to ice a couple of games with us. It’s a familiar environment for him and he knows the group. He works hard in practice and has really matured over the last couple of years and I’m keen to see him work hard and earn some starts.”

Dylan commented, 

“I’m excited to be playing in red this season and in front of such an incredible crowd! As soon as Paynts gave me the call I jumped on the idea of playing for a such hard working team especially as I’ve been working towards this from a junior at the club. I look forward to seeing you all at the start season.”
