Streatham IHC are pleased to announce that Preston Tombs will return to the line up for the 24/25 season.
The 18 year old blue liner returns to the Redhawks for what will be his 4th season around the squad. The youngster showed promise back in the 21/22 season under Michael Farn which saw him ice for 2 games shortly after his 16th birthday. He returned in 22/23 on a two way with Streatham's NIHL2 side while managing 10 games with the Redhawks before last term notching 24 appearances cementing himself as a key part of the Redhawks squad.
Coach Ben Paynter had the following to say,
“Preston returning was key for me this season, he reads the game well, has a good stick and has a great attitude. He continually wants to improve his game and I think he has done that massively year on year, most noticeably last season where he cemented his position as a top 6 defensemen and can be trusted to play in all situations. I have no doubt Preston will continue to develop this coming season and be a huge asset for us along the way.”
Preston commented,
“I am delighted to be back for another season on the High Road. I can't wait to get going and continue the successes of last season whilst having the opportunity to keep developing my game and draw on the knowledge that the more experienced players have to offer.
See you in September!”
