Milton signs for minding duties
June 25, 2022
The South-east junior goalie coach takes a third place.

Streatham IHC are delighted to announce that net-minding duties third slot will this season be filled by the experienced stopper Danny Milton. The well-known and travelled net-minder joins us after solid career, playing a big role between the pipes for many high ranking clubs. The new signing, will also be fitting his net-minding duties around coaching the South-East junior net minders. No rest for these ice-hockey lads.
Danny commented on his new signing for the 2021/22 season.
"I’m excited to be joining the RedHawks for the upcoming season. I know a lot of the boys and the the atmosphere around the whole rink seems like a great place to play and I’m looking forward to doing what I can to help bring some trophies to Streatham. When talking to Paynts he was a great help in allowing me the flexibility that I need for this year in order to be closer to home more often. I’m looking forward to getting out on the ice in September!"
Coach Ben added:
"When I heard Milts was available it made sense to explore the possibility of bringing him in at Streatham. Tommy and Milts both have some commitments outside of hockey which will force them to be unavailable at times. Therefore having the flexibility of having 3 goalies that can all play is a massive positive for the team.
Milts is a goalie who has been around for a long time and is highly regarded as one of the best goalies in the league, which showed in his performance at MK in the recent playoff semi final against Romford. He already knows a lot of the guys in the team from previous seasons and I have no doubt he will quickly settle in with our group."
