Conner Smith staying with the RedHawks

Local youngster back for more
Streatham IHC are delighted to welcome back Conner Smith for his second full season as a senior player. The 20-year-old first made his debut in 2017 on a two way deal with the Lee Valley Lions, before signing up full time last season. A prolific scorer for Streatham junior teams, Conner bagged 5 goals and 8 assists for a 13 point year. This definitely earned regular ice time as the season went on.
“I’m glad to have signed for another season with such a great club, when coach asked me to sign again there was no way I was turning it down. Such a great atmosphere in the locker room and amazing players, looking to repeat what we have achieved over the past 2 seasons and try win the last trophy in Coventry. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us.”
Smith adds to a team line up alongside Vanya Antonov, Ryan Watt and Player Coach Ben Paynter for this new journey.
Coach Ben himself is pleased to have the youngster back in the line up again.
“Connors game improves year on year! He has worked hard and has cemented himself as a constantly member of our line up.
He has a great shot and the ability to score goals. I am looking for Conner to continue to work hard and push for more ice time while rounding out the other elements on his game.
It’s great to have Conner back with the #RedHawks.”
