Streatham lifted the London Cup in front of a jubilant South London crowd tonight, adding a second trophy to the 2021/22 honours list.
Fresh from winning the Britton Cup earlier in the month, Michael Farn’s men did another lap of honour in front of a busy crowd at the Streatham Arena following a 4-2 win against Romford Jr Raiders.
The game itself was a formality, as Streatham had already put themselves in an unassailable position in the round robin competition, that also featured Chelmsford Chieftains and Invicta Dynamos.
Streatham goals from Ziggy Beesley, Danny Ingoldsby, Conner Smith and Josh Ealey Newman put the home crowd in good spirits, and the Raiders efforts came from Tom Wilson and Tjay Anderson.
Man of the match went to Nate Gregory, and Captain Ben Paynter led the lap of honour with the trophy aloft.
