Streatham IHC are pleased to announce that experienced D man, Jordan Gregory has agreed terms to return for the 24/25 season.
Making it his 8th consecutive season on the High Road. Gregory first joined the Redhawks back in 2017 after the demise of the Wightlink Raiders which saw Jeremy Cornish take the reins and put his mark on the squad. Since then, Gregory has displayed a hard-hitting, no-nonsense style of play on the back end and has been a huge part of our success over the last few years.
Coach Ben Paynter Commented the following,
“Jord has been a huge part of our success over the last few years, he knows how to win trophies and can be relied upon to play solid defence in big moments. He is great at blocking shots, being physical and playing on the PK and I expect no less from him this coming season. His teammates have a tremendous amount of respect for him, and he is a leader in our group. We have now played on the same team across 15 years, and he is someone I know I’m always going to get an honest answer out of and being a player coach its critical to have guys like that around me.”
Gregory commented on his return,
“I’m excited to be back at the High Road for my 8th season. With the league getting more competitive every year adding to the success we had last year we continue to be the team everyone turns up for night in night out to try knock us off the top spot. Coach Paynts is really putting a team together that will challenge for all trophies and hopefully exceed the success of previous years.”
