Streatham signed off 2019 in style with a 5-0 road win at rivals Invicta Dynamos to make it 19 wins out of 20 games this season in all competitions.
Player Coach Adam Carr took a full squad to Kent determined to keep up the pressure on leaders Solent Devils ahead of the festive break.
In contrast the hosts, had a number of players missing including sniper Juraj Huska and top scorer Anthony Leone.
It took just over two minutes for Ryan Watt to silence the home crowd as he converted on the powerplay, while Mo’s Tomas Banovsky sat a late hit penalty.
Penalty trouble put paid to any further pressure on Mo’s netminder Zach Grandy-Smith, however the RedHawks doubled their lead when finally returning to full strength. This time it was Scott Bailey against his old club. Two minutes before the first buzzer, it was another former Mo who lit the lamp as Brandon Miles converted a Ziggy Beesley pass to make it 3-0.
The second period saw the hosts get back into the game more and test Damien King between the Streatham pipes, but the only goal of the stanza came thanks to Adam Wood who sniped in a fourth from the slot.
The third period again saw Streatham pile on the pressure but they just couldn’t find a way past Grandy-Smith until the closing stages when Ben Paynter made it 5-0 from a Danny Ingoldsby pass.
The final buzzer brought a 5-0 win for the RedHawks with Damien King getting a shutout against his former team.
The team now have a festive break before a crunch game on the South Coast against league leaders Solent on the 5th January, and then a home game against the in-form Junior Raiders in Streatham 24 hours later.
