Streatham IHC are delighted to announce that fan favourite and last seasons coaches player Ziggy Beesley has agreed terms to return to the club for the 2023/24 season.
Ziggy first joined the club back in 2018, where he made the switch across London from out local rivals in Romford, the Raiders. Since his debut in 2018 Ziggy’s hard working play has made him a favourite to supporters on the High Road.
Coach Paynter commented,
‘Bringing Ziggy back was a no brainer for me, he was awarded my coaches player award last season for a number of reasons. He works hard every time he is on the ice, gives his all for the team and is a great team mate. He is ready to go and well prepared every week and can slot in up and down the line up playing a number of different roles. It’s a pleasure to have Ziggy back next season.’
Ziggy commented,
“I’m thrilled to be back at streatham for my 6th year, the direction that Graham & dawn have sent the club in over the last few years has been fantastic, we have had great success in winning trophies, displaying a great on ice product for our faithful and very loud fans!
Not to mention help developing our future young talents in their transition from junior to men’s hockey. I have every trust in coach Paynter to have a strong off season and form a great roster come September, I look forward to seeing you all down the rink come season time. #15”
