Streatham IHC are delighted to announce the return of Ziggy Beesley to the squad for 2020/21.
The speedy centre will ice at the High Road for a third season after playing his part in our league and cup double last year. Known for his quick feet, agility and playmaking, the 22 year old had a career best points tally of 23 in the league last year, and played a key role on the penalty kill.
“I’m delighted to be back in Streatham” said the former Bracknell junior.
“After two great years it was a no brainer. I felt I gained a lot of confidence under coach Carr last season, and I’m looking forward to continue to develop all areas of my game. Especially fully embracing my role as a two way centre under Farny’s leadership.
“Farny has really helped develop my game over the last two years and I can’t wait to get started again.”
“I’m also looking forward to continuing my relationship with the incredible Streatham fan base, I can’t wait to see everyone after a long summer and hopefully bringing some more silverware to the High Road”
Ziggy adds to a roster that already includes Damien King, Jordan Gregory, James Warman, Vanya Antonov, Adam Wood, Ryan Watt and Ben Paynter plus Player Coach Michael Farn.
Farn himself is pleased to have the young forward signed up for another year.
“Ziggy was given a huge responsibility last year of playing centre and leading his line into each game.
“He took the opportunity and was in my opinion of the best performers last year on a consistent basis. He’s set the bar for his performances now and I expect to see Ziggy have another big year.”
