Streatham eased into the Final Four Play-Offs next weekend in Milton Keynes thanks to a 9-3 aggregate win over Oxford City Stars.
Streatham started the weekend as firm favourites and seeded first as league champions. The eighth placed City Stars battled hard to seal an upset but ultimately came unstuck in both legs.
In the 1st leg in Oxford, the hosts came out strong but eventually went down 4-1 thanks to Streatham goals from Vanya Antonov, Brandon Miles, Ziggy Beesley and Ben Paynter. Oxford's late reply came from Josh Florey.
On Sunday in South London, Oxford again started strongly with former Streatham favourite Jakub Klima giving the visiting fans hope of a comeback, however first period replies from Ben Ealey-Newman and Danny Ingoldsby killed off any momentum the Stars may have picked up.
Further goals from Milique Martelly, Josh Ealey-Newman, Scott Bailey gave Streatham a six goal aggregate advantage going into the third period, with only Dax Hedges replying for the visitors. No further goals were scored in what was a feisty final twenty minutes.
After an emotional send off from the High Road, we now have a chance of winning an trophy in each of the next two weekends.
