Michael Farn reflects on the Bristol and Romford wins

It was key with two games left before the Play-Offs that we made both games preparation exercises in terms of intensity and our tactics.

I've been on teams that have won a league and then been dumped out of the Play-Offs in the first round so I'm under no illusions that our build up needs to be right, for these head to head games coming up.

We came out on the front foot in Romford, something I've been asking of the lads all season as I know how important it is, and how it affects the rest of the game. We are still missing a couple of guys which isn't ideal but we've got to go with what we've got and I was pleased with how we performed. We took our foot off the gas a little bit in the second period but that's understandable and ultimately I was pleased to come away with a good win and of course a shut out for Nate.

On Sunday I felt it would be a completely different game as Bristol were fighting for second spot for the Play-Off seedings.

They're a young and hungry team, well drilled and well structured and it was a good physical game. We dominated possession I thought and took our chances in the second. I felt it was a Play-Off atmosphere in the rink and that's exactly what we wanted. Tommy getting a shut out to make it one each for both the goalies was perfect preparation and we need to take it all into this weekend against Oxford.

They haven't had much to play for so they'll be looking forward to it and excited. If we can get a lead in the first leg in Oxford that's great but if not we'll look to keep it close and try and come back and do the business in Streatham on Sunday.

Anyone on any day can beat each other regardless of final standings so its a great time of the season and we'll be working hard in training to try and put together our best 120 minutes of the season so far.

Hopefully we can get as many fans in the rink on Sunday and it will be an emotional occasion no matter what happens.
