Update for supporters after teething issues at pre-season game

Update on a number of issues

After a pre-season weekend with a few teething issues we thought it best to update all supporters on a few things ahead of the next home game on Sunday against Romford at 6.45pm. We really appreciate your support and we need it more than ever, as we look to bounce back from the pandemic and defend our league and cup titles.

So, in no particular order....

JERSEYS: Our new jerseys sponsored by Andrews Property Group have now arrived and thanks to everyone who paid to own and loan. We sold out for all players for home and away jerseys which is amazing. We had made extra effort/payment to get the new jerseys here in time for last weekend but they were still delayed in the mail. This meant we had to play both games last weekend in our red away jerseys from last year with incorrect numbers and names on the back. Thanks to those own and loan owners for their patience and to the players who were looking forward to wearing their own jerseys. We will skate out this weekend looking FRESH for 2021/22.

REFRESHMENT KIOSK: We know many of you were disappointed not to be able to buy food and drink at the regular kiosk as it is closed. We understand that this situation will not change in the immediate future so the previous ban on bringing your own refreshments to the game is no more. All we ask is that you help keep the rink clean and don't leave it looking like the aftermath of Glastonbury when you leave. Bins are provided.

POST-GAME: Our sponsorship deal with the Earl Ferrers bar behind the rink continues and it will be fully open again on Sunday where many of the players and fans will be after the game. Please come along.

PA SYSTEM: As many of you will be aware after the weekend, we had some issues with the PA system but we are hopeful the rink will be able to sort this problem out this week as we have asked.

RESTRICTED SEATING: Due to the hot weather on Sunday a number of seats in one corner of the rink were unusable due to condensation on the plexi glass. This is a rare occurrence and given the large capacity of the rink does not deprive anyone of a seat elsewhere. If you were unable to sit in your favourite seat we apologise and we are sure it will be possible next Sunday - if not we will call out "the squidgy thing".

PARKING: As many will be aware, the parking payment machines were out of order on Sunday but we received no complaints so we can only assume this went down well?. We cannot guarantee this will be the case again on Sunday, but otherwise, parking discount vouchers will be available in reception as usual after the game.

All that leaves us to say is that tickets are now available online for our first home league have in just under two years. We'd love to see you all there and we appreciate your support.
