Streatham IHC are delighted to welcome back Conner Smith for his second full season as a senior player.
The 18-year-old first made his debut in 2017 on a two way deal with the Lee Valley Lions, before signing up full time last season.
A prolific scorer for Streatham junior teams, Conner bagged 4 goals and 3 assists last year in the league, earning more regular ice time as the season went on.
“It’s great to be signing for another season” admitted the teenager.
“The team last year was amazing and to win the double was best experience of my career so far. The fans and the locker room was always filled with excitement. Unfortunately the season was cut short which was disappointing, however when asked to come back to it was impossible to say no.
“I’m excited for the season coming up to defend the title and hopefully get silverware with a great team. While also advancing and becoming a better player to add to the strength of the team.”
Smith adds to a roster that already includes Damien King, Jordan Gregory, Vanya Antonov, James Warman, Adam Wood, Ryan Watt and Ben Paynter plus Player Coach Michael Farn.
Farn himself is pleased to have the youngster back in the line up again.
“Conner is a great lad and made huge strides under Carsys leadership last year. I made sure early into my coaching role that Conner was signed up, as I think he’s got even more to give.
“His attitude and worth ethic are exactly what anyone coming up through the juniors teams should follow. I’m excited to see Conner's progress after another year of senior hockey under his belt.”
