Update from Michael Farn

Hello everyone,

It was good to get back into things on Saturday with the win over Romford in the London Cup. It puts us one win away from securing that silverware with our next fixture at the end of this month.

We knew what we were going to get in both games last weekend. Both Romford and Slough are quite similar in terms of their young rosters and high work rate. On Saturday we weren't at our best but Nate played really well and it was good to see him get some minutes.

Sunday was massive, given the league positions and last time we only beat Slough with seconds to spare. I asked the lads to give me a full sixty minutes, and they came out flying. We know if we start well, we set the tempo and it puts teams on the back foot straight away. I don't think the Jets were as bad as the first period scoreline suggested but we were clinical and we put in the work needed.

The results set us up nicely for this weekend, which again is big for all of us at the club. We play Invicta three times over the next fortnight so we'll be getting familiar with each other and we want to start up with two wins this weekend and hopefully the chance to lift a trophy in front of the fans.

Enjoy the games
