Streatham IHC are delighted to welcome back all-star netminder Damien King back for another season between the pipes.
The 29-year-old joined us in 2018 from the Invicta Dynamos and immediately impressed, performing impressively under pressure.
The former Peterborough stopper led the league starters in save percentages last year and was a key part of our league and cup double success.
“I’m excited to be back at Streatham for another year” admitted King.
“We had a great group of guys last season that had the best moments taken away from us. With the group Farny has put together this year I feel we have every chance of going out and getting it done fully and give the club and the guys in the room the moments we deserve.”
King adds to a roster that already includes all-stars Vanya Antonov and Player Coach Michael Farn, plus free scoring forward Ryan Watt and coach’s player of the year for 2019/20 Ben Paynter.
“When I took over the coaching role in Streatham the starting point for me was to get the best goalie set up I could get” explained Coach Farn.
“Damo is clearly a top goalie at this level and he gives us a chance to win every game we play. At times last year he wasn’t tested much, but we could always rely on him when called upon. He’s still hungry to challenge for more trophies and I’m glad he’s chosen to take on that challenge with us on the High Road."
