The RedHawks are pleased to announce that exciting young prospect Harvey Briggs will be making the step up to ice with the team in 2021/22.
Harvey has been a key player in the junior club at Streatham for a number of years and first made his bow in senior hockey in 2019 with the NIHL 2 team.
"I've played at Streatham partly my whole hockey life" said the 18 year old on signing.
"There's such a great bunch of players in the squad with different talents and skills and a real team spirit and it feels like one big collective. I'm hoping that we have a really good season and that I can bring my speed, agility and good ability of playmaking and putting the puck in the back of the net to help the team."
Harvey joins an already strong squad built by Player Coach Michael Farn this season as the team look to defend their league and cup titles in an improved NIHL South 1.
"Harvey is a great talent that has progressed through the junior system here at Streatham" said Farn.
"He’s fully deserving of his opportunity to sign with the team. He’s keen to develop his game and learn from the other lads on the team. In practice he works hard and gives it his all, I’m expecting to see Harvey grow week by week and believe he will have a bright future ahead of him."
Own and loan Harvey's jerseys
Harvey Briggs' game worn #23 home, away and warm up jerseys are all available through our popular own and loan scheme. You can get your name or message on the back of his jersey(s) throughout the season and then you get to keep it once the season is done. We will wash out any game stains before you get hold of it (unless you prefer otherwise) so it really is a great offer.
To keep it fair, we ask that you email our management stating which of Harvey's jerseys you are interested in (home/away/warm up) and if we have multiple bids then we will draw names out of a hat. Jerseys are £100 and you can register interest by emailing: streatham1972@yahoo.co.uk
You can view Harvey's hockey career stats here.
Don't forget we have pre-season challenge games on the 4th and 5th September booked in the diary. More details here.
