SIHC v Haringey Huskies

Streatham take the derby spoils

Streatham beat North London rivals Haringey Huskies 8-1 with a convincing cup display at Alexandra Palace.

The RedHawks travelled North without injured import Jonathan Wallius, suspended Ryan Watt and Vanya Antonov who was icing with Bracknell as agreed under the two way deal. Two goals each from Brandon Miles and man of the match Ziggy Beesley set the RedHawks on their way to victory before lone efforts from Danny Ingoldsby, James Warman, Michael Farn and Adam Carr completed the win.

The Huskies consolation effort came from Joe Willingham. The game was otherwise incident free, and in fact the first penalty of the night did not arrive until 26 minutes into the game. An all-time record in this fixture.

The RedHawks face a crunch weekend double header against Invicta this coming weekend with a league encounter on Saturday in Streatham, followed by a Cup tie in Kent on Sunday.
