Burnett swaps Essex for London

Streatham IHC are excited to announce the signing of Callum Burnett from the Chelmsford Chieftains.

The Slough junior has been a consistent presence on the blue line in Essex since 2017 having iced with Romford and most recently Chelmsford in that time. The 22 year old caught the attention of Coach Paynter last term with his high work rate, intensity and physical play prompting a switch to SW16.

Coach Paynter commented, 

‘Bringing Callum in will enhance our Defensive line. He is in great shape, skates well, isn’t afraid to play physical. He will make us difficult to play against and I cant wait to see him get started. He seems like a team first kind of guy, our initial conversations clearly showed his personality and I think he will fit in perfectly with our group.’

Burnett commented,

‘I’m looking forward to joining the guys and a new team dynamic. I want to help the team succeed to the best of my ability and have a successful year as a whole. Having played with or against many of the guys I know it’s a hard working group who work to support each other which gets results. I hope the skill set I can bring will help the group progress further this year and make a positive one.’
