Streatham IHC are delighted to announce the signing of former GB junior international Luke Brittle, who joins us following a recent spell with Solihull Barons.
A natural goalscorer, Brittle grew up playing hockey in Telford before making his senior debut for the Telford Titans in 2009 as a teenager. He then went on to play in the EPL with the Telford Tigers and represent his country at u18 and u20 level.
Luke has also iced with Chelmsford, Blackburn and Solihull over the years and has consistently racked up the points wherever he has been.
The highly rated 26 year old is now living in London and registered before the transfer deadline then trained with the team this week meeting his new team mates.
"I’m really pleased we have managed to sign Luke, it’s not often a player of his ability is available at this time of year" said Coach Adam Carr.
"When I found out he was living in London I was straight in touch with him. I’ve known Luke for a while and played with him in MK and he is a quality player and a great lad who will fit right in with the team.
"He hasn’t played for a little while but he skated with us this week and looked great. He will be a great addition to the team as we push for trophies."
Luke will wear the number 7 jersey for Streatham and make his debut in the road trip at Milton Keynes this Sunday.
