Trophy laden campaign comes to an end

Streatham went down 4-2 to the Solway Sharks in the National NIHL South 1 final in Coventry. Image by Andrew Day.

Missing a number of key players including top scorer Vanya Antonov and Alternate Captain Ryan Watt, the RedHawks trailed 2-0 at the end of the first period and never really recovered despite a goal from Danny Ingoldsby at the start of the second period.

Solway skated out deserved winners and Streatham players and fans were left to reflect on a four trophy campaign with only the final defeat a negative. The game was also the final skate of Player Coach Michael Farn who has had a sensational career, not least with ourselves in his final years on ice.
