Streatham bounced back from their loss against Solent with a big road win in Cardiff against the Fire.
Adam Carr’s men scored eight goals without reply as they punished the hosts in Wales.
Danny Ingoldsby, Ryan Watt and Vanya Antonov all scored two goals each, while there was a first league goal of the season for Conner Smith and a solo effort from Rhys McCormick.
In between the pipes, goalie Damien King posted a 19 shot shut out. His first since the win in Slough back in September.
The result was even more pleasing as title rivals Solent and Chelmsford each dropped a point with overtime losses to Bracknell and Slough respectively.
Streatham now face cross town rivals Haringey Huskies in SW16 on Sunday at 6.45pm. Good seats are still available and tickets can be bought online or on the gate priced £12 adults and £7 concessions.
