Ben Ealey-Newman Returns

Streatham IHC are delighted to confirm the return of Ben Ealey-Newman for the 2023/24 season. 

Ben Joined The Redhawks at the start of the Covid season that never happened, since joining he has shown his skill and offensive ability in that time. Ben started his time in Streatham returning 42 points in 30 games in 21/22. Ben was not available as much as we had hoped this season just gone and was hugely missed but we are excited to have him feeling fully fit and ready for the 2023/24 season. 

Coach Paynter commented, 

‘Ben is a huge part of our line up and we missed him hugely last term. He can do unbelievable things with the puck, score goals and plays a tough gritty game at the same time. You don’t come across guys like that too often. He is the type of player that can win you games and makes us better as a team. I have spoken with Ben frequently and he is feeling ready to go this coming season and I can’t wait to have him back in my regular line up.’ 

Ben commented, 

‘After missing nearly a full season last year, I’m really looking forward to getting back on the ice (and in the room with the boys) and hopefully contributing towards some more silverware. We have another exciting team with a lot of experience and some great youngsters. We are all excited to get back down the rink, back to work and performing come September.’
