Update from the Coach

Looking ahead to the new season

Following the early curtailment of the 2019/20 season the club have had a long wait to lift the league title trophy in front of our supporters. Last summer we announced that former Captain Michael Farn had agreed to take charge as Player Coach for the 2020/21 campaign, which was subsequently cancelled due to the pandemic restrictions.
There are now however positive signs that a full league season will return this Autumn, and Coach Farn took training last week for the first time in a number of months following lockdown easing.
The good news is that the passion is still burning amongst the squad and Coach Farn has this message for supporters:
With the hope that the season will begin in September as we would expect, I’ve made early progress with securing some key names and will continue over the coming months to build what we aim to be a competitive team. We recently got the opportunity to get back on the ice and we had a much greater turn out for a skate in May then you would usually expect!
Given the time we have had away, it’s no surprise the players want to be on the ice as much as possible. Hopefully we will have fans back from the get go and look forward to packing out the High Road (safely of course) .
Stay safe and enjoy the summer
Farny
