Antonov moves on

The Streatham Redhawks are saddened to announce that Vanya Antonov will not be returning for the 2023/24 season. 

Vanya joined the club back at the start of the 2019-20 season where his reputation for being a speedy winger gave the high road crowd something to cheer about. Vanya did not disappoint in the following 4 seasons that he has spent with the club returning 246 points in only 90 games across cup and league fixtures. 

The club thanks Vanya for his service and wish him well in the future.

Vanya commented, 

‘I want to thank the whole Streatham Redhawks setup for making these past 4 years unforgettable. I have memories that I will cherish and a lot of silverware to remind me about them. I would like to personally thank my coaches through out the years Adam Carr, Michael Farn and Ben Paynter; they have single handedly made my experience all that much better by understanding my situation and were always accommodating. I don't know what the future holds, but one fact I know for certain is that Redhawks will be as strong with me or without me. Primarily because the culture that has been built here the last few years is a resilient winning culture. Once a Redhawk always a Redhawk!’
