Why did you start taking pictures at hockey?
The reason for me taking pictures for hockey is because I wanted to do a side project for my A-level photography back in 2017, little did I know I would still be doing it in 2021 but I have loved every second of it so far and I am excited to see what other little tricks I can learn in the future while at hockey
Is hockey the only thing you photograph?
Nope, I also take nature and wildlife photographs but hockey is my main subject but I would like to explore more in the world of photography. I want to try and capture the beauty of the world while it is raining I have wanted to try for a long time so I think this is the year for me to do it
What kind of shot do you most like to capture?
It depends in hockey then the medium close-up shot is my goto shot because I try to capture the energy of the players feeding off the crowd. While I am shooting nature photos I like to use a wide angle to capture the beauty of mother nature
What is the hardest thing about photography of hockey?
The hardest this about hockey photography is timing, you can see the shot you want but if you are off by a fraction of a second you miss your shot
What is the best piece of advice you'd give anyone who'd like to take pictures of ice hockey?
The best piece of advice I can give out is the same I got, take your time and don't be afraid to make mistakes because that is just life you live and you learn
Do you have any other interests than photography?
My other interests are messing around with my brother and watching the footy with dad
What is your favourite picture you've taken at a Streatham game and why?
It is hard to say but it has to be when we celebrate the winning goal in a nail-biting game it sends chills all through me and I think the crowd, players and the staff can relate with me on that. Pic shown above.
