A depleted Streatham Redskins side were edged out in a South East Cup tie as London Raiders snatched a 3-2 win at Streatham Arena.

Missing Nicky Chinn, Chris Wiggins, Ryan Giles, Joe Allen and Michael Ranby, the home side did however welcome back Jack Tarczycki and Caz Britton from injury.

After an exciting comeback win against Oxford City Stars in their last fixture, Streatham take on London Raiders this Sunday at 6.45pm.

Streatham are delighted to announce that talented centerman Callum Best has returned to the team ahead of this weekend’s games against Invicta Dynamos and Chelmsford Chieftains.

Last season’s league player of the year, Best joins us after leaving the Guildford Flames by mutual consent earlier this week.

Streatham Redskins secured their place at the top of NIHL South with a hard fought win over the in-form Oxford City Stars.

It was a short bench for the hosts with Chris Wiggins out for the second game of the weekend with concussion along with Nicky Chinn, James Warman, Caz Britton, Ryan Giles and Michael Ranby who were all missing too. Youngster Daniel Clayton and veteran David Carr returned to the line-up.

Streatham got their South East Cup campaign off to a horrendous start as they lost 9-1 in Chelmsford in a largely forgettable encounter. The Londoners turned up at the Riverside missing a number of key players including Nicky Chinn, Joe Allen, Michael Ranby, James Warman and Adam Mahoney.

Streatham made it three wins out of three with a hard fought 4-2 win over a highly fancied MK Thunder side in South London.

Streatham welcomed back forward Adam Wood to the line-up following suspension and he slotted in alongside Kamil Kinkor and Joe Allen on a new-look first line.

Unfortunately we were unable to disclose details of the arrival of 24 year old Czech forward Kamil Kinkor prior to the opening fixture as we awaited confirmation of his late registration.
