Smith steps up

Streatham IHC are pleased to announce the signing of local youngster Conner Smith.

The 17 year old forward enjoyed a prolific spell in our junior system from under 12 level up to under 18 and last season joined up with the Lee Valley Lions to begin his senior career. Despite suffering a major injury during the season, Smith bagged 5 goals and 4 assists for the struggling East London side, who finished bottom of NIHL2.

Smith also appeared for the RedHawks towards the latter end of last season as former Coach Jeremy Cornish gave a number of junior players ice time experience.

"Conner has been training with us a lot the last couple of years and played a few games" explained current player coach Adam Carr.

"He stepped up a few games for us last year and didn't look out of place. He is a talented young kid who wants to prove himself and he will be looking to push people for their places.

"It's great that he is a product of the Streatham juniors so hopefully we can see a few more come through the ranks."

You can own and loan Smith's home or away jersey for £100. Your name or message will be on the back of the jersey all season and you get to keep it at the end. Demand is always high for these jerseys so please email and you will be put in a draw. To see the designs checkout our promo video -
