Ingoldsby signs up in SW16

Streatham IHC are delighted to announce the signing of Danny Ingoldsby from the Basingstoke Bison.

The 22 year old forward becomes our 4th new signing of the summer and brings toughness and tenacity to the line up. The former GB junior international spent last season in Hampshire with the Bison after a spell at Bracknell Bees.

“I’m really looking forward to joining Streatham” admitted the 6’ 1” winger.

“Carsy’s (Coach Adam Carr) a great guy and I’m looking forward to giving it my all every week this coming season.

“It’s going to be a good exciting season with the dynamics of the league changing and I think we are going to have a strong hard working team.”

Ingoldsby played his junior hockey in Guildford where he racked up the points to earn himself a place on the GB under 18 team. A senior debut with Basingstoke in the old EPL as a teenager saw him emerge onto the hockey scene before a spell with Wightlink Raiders and then the Bees.

“I think Danny is a great signing for us” explained Coach Adam Carr.

“I know from playing against him he is the type of player I want in my team. He is a player I always notice when I play against him. He works hard and he is in your face.

“He scored three goals against us in the playoffs for Basingstoke last year which shows that he steps up in big games and he can stand up for himself when he has to. I’m really looking forward to working with Danny and I know he is excited to be coming to the High Road.”

You can own and loan Danny's home or away jersey for £100. Your name or message will be on the back of the jersey all season and you get to keep it at the end. Demand is always high for these jerseys so please email  and you will be put in a draw.

We will be announcing new signings and returnees across the summer as the coach builds his squad. The new season begins in September and we will have ticket news as soon as the fixtures are finalised later in the summer.
