Warman makes it six

Streatham IHC are delighted to announce that defenseman James Warman has committed to his sixth season with the club.

The popular 26 year old has become a familiar face on our blue line and is known for his reliability and composure in defence.

The former Telford junior and GB under 18 learnt his trade in Shropshire before studies took him west to Bath University, where he subsequently iced with Bristol Pitbulls and Cardiff.

Warman joined us for the first time in 2013 and has now played 206 times in a Streatham jersey.

"I have played at Streatham for a while now and have really enjoyed each season here" explained Warman.

"It's a great club to play for. I was not looking to play my hockey anywhere else for the upcoming season.

"Over the past couple of seasons we have shown that we can compete with the old EPL teams and I think that experience will serve us well for the coming season. I really believe we are strong contenders and that we can have a successful year."

Warman joins a list of defensive returnees which give the team both continuity and quality. The unit now consists of goalie Damien King and defensemen Rupe Quiney, Jordan Gregory, Michael Farn and utility player Adam Wood.

"It's great to have Warms back with us next year, He is a big part of the club and I thought he was one of our best players last year" admitted RedHawks Coach Adam Carr.

"He loves the physical side of the game makes some great hits. Last year he showed he can add to the team with his offence to. I think Warms is going to have a great year this year being part of a great defensive unit we have."

You can own and loan Warman's home or away jersey for £100. Your name or message will be on the back of the jersey all season and you get to keep it at the end. Demand is always high for these jerseys so please email  and you will be put in a draw.
