All smiles with Miles

Streatham IHC are pleased to announce that forward Brandon Miles will be lining up for the team in 2019/20.

The 22 year old joins us from Invicta Dynamos and this will in fact be his third spell at the club. Brandon first joined us a teenager from his home town club of Slough back in 2014 and played 16 times before heading off to Bracknell where he iced with both the Bees and the Hornets.

Between a season at London Raiders and then Invicta Dynamos, Brandon signed for us again in 2017/18 as Jeremy Cornish brought him in to add muscle and tenacity to the line-up.

“I’m delighted Milesy has agreed to come back to the High Road, he was right up the top of the list of names I wanted to sign when I took over as coach” said RedHawks Coach Adam Carr on the signing.

“When I met him two years ago I loved his attitude straight away, he wants to learn and become a better player and I’m looking forward to helping him do that.

“He has all the tools to be a real impact forward, he skates well, shoots well, as well as being as tough as they come who will always stick up for his team mates.

“I’m sure the fans are looking forward to seeing him back in our colours as much as I am.”

Miles comes from a hockey family with former Streatham defenseman Stewart Tait and former Slough Jet turned crocodile expert Terry Miles all related. A move back to South London comes after a year in Kent with Invicta and Brandon is excited to return to SW16.

“I’m delighted to be coming back to a great club where I loved playing” he said.

“The fans are great and the energy in the building is unreal can’t wait to get back at it.”

We will be announcing new signings and returnees across the summer as the coach builds his squad. The new season begins in September and we will have ticket news as soon as the fixtures are finalised later in the summer.
