Tough weekend on the road

Streatham fell to two defeats in as many days as battling performances in Swindon and Peterborough reaped no reward.
The RedHawks looked to be heading for a shock result in Wiltshire on Saturday night as they tied 2-2 going into the final period thanks to goals from Alex Roberts and Ryan Webb. Sadly an early powerplay goal from the restart by Floyd Taylor kicked started the hosts into scoring five goals in the space of twenty minutes with a second goal from Roberts the only high point. The Canadian also dropped teh gloves with Sam Jones in the third period and you can watch the bout HERE

On Sunday the team again looked to be in position to shock their hosts, as another goal from Roberts and an effort from Tom Soar put Streatham into a 2-1 lead going into the final period. Again they conceded almost from the restart and shipped in a further three goals before losing 5-2.

Damien King was awarded man of the match for the RedHawks who are back on home ice next Sunday for the visit of Bracknell Bees at 6.45pm.
