Soar-ing RedHawks

Streatham IHC are delighted to announce the signing of former GB junior international forward Tom Soar.

The 6’ 3” player joins us from Solihull Barons where he posted 27 goals and 23 assists in 32 games last season.

“We are very lucky to have secured the services of Tom this season” said Head Coach Jeremy Cornish.

“He’s working and living in the city now and lives fairly local to our rink. He’s put up some decent numbers over the last couple years up in the North. He’s also looking to test himself this season playing in a new league and seeing what our club has to offer.”

“Tom has excellent size and will give us the offensive punch we were lacking at times last season. Tom will also give us more leadership and experience and that will be beneficial for our younger players.”

The 25 year old  grew up playing hockey in his native Nottingham where he progressed through the junior ranks before appearing for the Lions and then the Elite League Panthers, before joining EPL sides Telford Tigers and Peterborough Phantoms. Soar then moved to Solihull Barons in 2014 and smashed home 51 goals in just 32 league appearances for the West Midlands side.

To own and loan Tom Soar’s Streatham jerseys this season please email . They cost £100 for either home or away and you get to have your name on the back all year, and keep it at the end of the season. All bidders will be placed on a list and the winner drawn at random.
