Ziggy is a RedHawk

Streatham IHC are delighted to announce the signing of speedy forward Thomas ‘Ziggy’ Beesley.

The 20 year old joins us from London Raiders, where he had impressed in the last two seasons with his speed and tenacity in their line-up.

“Ziggy is a player I have been impressed with over the last couple of seasons” said Head Coach Jeremy Cornish.

“He’s quick, loves playing and can slot in anywhere in the line-up. The reports I have on Ziggy is that he’s an intelligent player and can play systems effectively. It didn’t take long for Ziggy and I to reach an agreement and I think he’s looking forward to a fresh start in Streatham.”

Ziggy learnt his trade in Bracknell with their junior development system and won the English Championship with their u18 squad. He first broke into the senior side in 2014 when he appeared for the Bees in what was then the EPL.

"I'm really looking forward to having a fresh start and getting to work with the boys that Corny has put together” said Ziggy. “The squad looks very promising for the upcoming season. It's going to be a great experience to play in front of the loyal fanbase in Streatham and play some exciting hockey in red this year!"
