We will play our game

Streatham Captain Adam Carr looks forward to the big Cup Quarter Final 1st leg on Sunday and insists the RedHawks have to stick with the game plan that has seen the team yield 9 wins in the last 11 games.

"Firstly happy belated New Year to everyone, I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. It was nice to have little break and rest the body and minds from hockey for a little bit, something I personally haven’t been used to for a long time.

"I think we started 2018 with a bit of a bang, 4 points in the first weekend was massive for us as we look to climb the table.

"On Saturday we hosted Milton Keynes in front of a massive crowd. It was great to play in front of a packed house, and despite both teams being a bit rusty from the Christmas break it was a great game that had a bit of everything, fights, goals and a tense finish, so hopefully everyone enjoyed it.

"Sunday we went down to Invicta with a bit of a short bench. Despite that I thought we controlled the game and deserved the 2 points, we haven’t lost to Invicta this year and that’s something we want to keep going.

"This Sunday we move onto the cup quarter finals against Telford, there is no question they are a good team with some real quality players in Weaver and Silverthorn, so we have to be at our best and we have to make sure we play our game, we cant change the way we play because we know what works for us. It will be a good test for us but as we have shown already this year we can beat anyone so we will be ready to go on Sunday.

"Thanks for your support again over the weekend."
