Alex 'SAmped' to be back

Streatham IHC are pleased to announce the return of young forward Alex Sampford to the team for the 2017/18 season.

The 20 year old winger joined us last season and scored 8 goals and 9 assists in 17 appearances for the team.

The Basingstoke born youngster learnt his trade with Slough juniors and made his senior debut with the Jets before spells with Basingstoke, Solent and then Wightlink.

Sampford also found time to represent Southampton University in the BUIHA and also Great Britain at the Universiade tournament in Kazakhstan last season.

‘We are pleased to have Alex back this season, he brings a great amount of speed and skill to our line-up’ said Head Coach Jeremy Cornish on Sampford’s return.

‘I am looking for Alex to have a break-through season and provide us with offense this year. He is also a team first player that will play either wing and doesn't stop moving his feet when on the ice’

‘He is another player who is excited for the step up in standard this year and I'm hoping he will continue to progress.’

Alex Sampford’s own and loan jerseys are available now for £100 each.

Simply email to try and secure his home or away jersey. He will wear it all year and you get to keep it at the end of the season (washed of course).
