Jordan joins the blue line

Streatham IHC are pleased to announce the signing of defenseman Jordan Gregory.

The 21 year old blue liner joins us from Bracknell Hornets where he was the Alternate Captain last season.

The 6’ 2” defenseman learnt his trade at the Hive where he came up through the ranks before making his senior Hornets debut as a fresh faced teenager in 2011. Gregory is known for his physical play, won the NIHL Play-Offs in 2016 and joins fellow new signing Ben Paynter in sporting a flow to make even Jaromir Jagr jealous.

‘When JC spoke to me I knew we would be fighting for big things this season and I believe we can do it’ said Gregory. ‘The fans have always been great whenever I have played against Streatham. I’m now excited to start this season and start playing again.’

Gregory is another young signing for Streatham this season with the average age of the team currently at 23 years old based on the signings so far. Head Coach Jeremy Cornish is building a young, quick and tough team and coached Jordan during the 2015/16 season in his lone full season with the Wightlink Raiders and is excited to have him in the squad.

‘Jordan is a big, physical D-man that can move the puck well. He is a player I am familiar with and a team-first player that will stick up for himself and others. He is very excited about joining Streatham and with D-men at a premium in today's game, he will be a player that the fans enjoy to watch.’

Gregory’s own and loan jerseys are available now for £100. Simply email to try and secure his home or away jersey. He will wear it all year and you get to keep it at the end of the season (washed of course).
