Ready for Warman

Streatham IHC are pleased to welcome back composed defenseman James Warman to the team for the 2017/18 season.

The 24 year old joins us for his fourth season in Streatham colours and has been a consistent presence on the blue line. The former GB under 18 junior international originally learnt the game in his native Shropshire with Telford, where he made his senior debut in 2009.

Spells with Bristol and Cardiff followed and Warman quickly caught the eye with his excellent positional sense and surprising physicality. James first appeared for Streatham in 2013 and was almost an ever present before returning to Bristol to complete his studies at University. James returned to London in 2015 and skated back out on to the blue line at SW16 like he had never been away.

‘It was an easy decision to return’ admitted the 5’ 9” blueliner. ‘I have played here for a few years now and it’s a great club rich in tradition and passion.’

‘The new season will be tough with the changes that have happened in the league but I am looking forward to the challenge. I am confident we will have a competitive and exciting team and I’m looking forward to it.’

James will continue to wear the number 13 jersey and Head Coach Jeremy Cornish is glad he is returning.

‘I'm very pleased to have James back for the upcoming season. He is the most under-rated D-man in the league and competes every single game and training session.’

‘He was actually the first person I called this off-season and I'm looking forward to working with him again. James takes his hockey seriously and always keeps himself in top physical condition and he is the type of player we will need for this league’.

Warman’s own and loan jerseys are available now for £100. Simply email to try and secure his home or away jersey. He will wear it all year and you get to keep it at the end of the season (washed of course).
