Miles and boom

Streatham IHC are pleased to announce the signing of Brandon Miles for the 2017/18 season.

The 20 year old joins us from London Raiders where he spent half of last season after joining mid-way through from Bracknell Hornets. Known for his feisty style of play and willingness to drop the gloves when needed, Miles learnt his trade as a junior with Slough.

Coming from a strong hockey family including former Streatham player Stewart Tait and Slough icon/crocodile maestro Terry Miles, Brandon has impressed in the NIHL since breaking through the ranks in Berkshire.

He briefly appeared in a Streatham jersey before when Warren Rost signed him in 2014 when he made 16 appearances in SW16.

‘Brandon is a young player I'm very excited to be working with this season. He will be familiar to Streatham fans as he played for the club a few seasons back’ said Head Coach Jeremy Cornish.

‘We lacked grit last season and Brandon will immediately make us all two inches taller. The best thing about Brandon is that he quietly goes about his business and can play the game. He will have a big role with our team this year.’

‘I will expect him to not only continue providing a physical presence, but he will be expected to chip in offensively. It's no secret that I love tough players, but with today's game its important to be able to play and contribute and Brendan will have no problem providing both.’

Miles own and loan jerseys are available now for £100. Simply email to try and secure his home or away jersey. He will wear it all year and you get to keep it at the end of the season (washed of course).
