Sanderson calls time on his season

Streatham IHC are sad to announce that netminder Will Sanderson has made his final appearance of the 2016/17 season.

The popular 29 year old stopper joined us back in 2009 and announced his decision after the win over Invicta Dynamos this evening.

Will has enjoyed a number of brilliant seasons between the pipes for us, however this campaign has been a difficult one.

The arrival of Matt Colclough as starting goalie has seen Will fail to get a start in recent months and understandably the NIHL schedule is a big time commitment without game time.

Will has been a popular figure amongst Streatham players and supporters, and everyone at the club will miss both he and his equally talented fiance Sarah, who has played a big part behind the scenes with our jersey and logo designs.

We will not say goodbye as he leaves with our best wishes, but just say enjoy the break (and the upcoming wedding) and maybe sometime in the future we will hear 'Well Done Will' ring round the stands at Streatham again.
