Blue line boost

Streatham IHC have moved to boost their defence with the signing of Chris Cooke and Nick Compton.

The blue line pair will go straight in to the line up this weekend and train with the team on Thursday.

Both players join us from Wightlink Raiders where they were part of the Play-Off winning team of 2014/15 season.

Compton has been voted onto the league all-star numerous times by his peers and is a proven performer in the NIHL. Calm, composed and intelligent, the 28 year old for GB junior international played in the EPL for Peterborough and Swindon before joining Wightlink in 2012.

He captained the island side to their unexpected play-off victory against Invicta Dynamos.

Cooke is a former Guildford junior who captained their u18s side before making his senior debut for the Flames in 2011. The 21 year old left the EPL and moved to Invicta Dynamos in 2013 and his performances caught the eye of the Wightlink coach Jeremy Cornish who brought him into the club in 2014.

Cooke is a another calm and composed defenseman and the pair join James Warman, Jack Tarczycki, Ryan Giles, Casimir Madren-Britton and Adam Mahoney as our defensive unit.

Both Cooke and Compton's jerseys are available for own and loan at £100 for either home or away.

You get your name or slogan on the jerseys of your chosen player then keep the jersey at the end of the season.
