Cornish appointed Coach

Streatham IHC have today appointed Jeremy Cornish as Head Coach of the team.

The Canadian joins us after a succesfull spell with Wightlink Raiders and will take his first training session on Thursday.

Cornish is a former Elite League enforcer with Sheffield Steelers, Newcastle Vipers, London Racers and Basingstoke Bison and took over Wightlink Raiders as Player Coach in 2009.

Since then he has delivered multiple trophys to the island club earning himself a reputation as a tactician and team builder.

The Raiders sadly lost their rink last weekend and will no longer compete in the NIHL South.

The Ontario native said:

'Streatham is a club with a lot of history and one I have read a lot about.'

'It is a new challenge for me and I am very excited to get started. I will be adding some new faces to the roster and freshening things up. This team has a great new rink, are located in London and have a lot of potential'

'This club should be competing for trophies and thats what we are here to aim for.'

Streatham have signed a number of new players of which the first will be announced tomorrow (Wednesday 26th October).
