Streatham Californication

Streatham are delighted to announce the signing of American star Sean Scarbrough to the line-up for the 2016/17 season.

The popular winger last appeared in Streatham colours back in 2014/15 and was a popular player with fans and team mates alike.

The speedy forward developed a reputation for scoring goals at crucial times and formed a good partnership with Steven Fisher and Callum Best.

‘I haven’t seen Scarzy play but all of the reports have been positive’ said Head Coach Nick Chinn.

‘All of the boys say he is a team guy and brings speed, goals and hard work to the roster.’

‘We are putting together the final pieces of our squad and we are looking forward to hitting the ice for our first warm up game against Carrsy’s London North Stars on Saturday 3 September.’

Scarbrough originally signed for the club in 2013 from Cardiff where he earned a call up to the Elite League side after some impressive performances in the NIHL.

Scarbrough started his career in his native San Jose before heading to the UK via the Australian AIHL.

Sixty goals in two seasons with Streatham made him a firm favourite and now he is back to add more goals to his tally in South London. Scarbrouh said:

'I am looking forward to being able to continue my hockey career at Streatham. Playing under a coach like Nicky Chinn, whose name and reputation in the UK needs no explanation is an added bonus.'

'The team has added a lot of key players this summer and the expectation for silverware is within reason.'

Sean will wear his old number 18 jersey again and you can sponsor his home or away jersey for only £100.

You get to keep it at the end of the season, however as they are so popular we are going to put all interested names into a hat and draw out the winner over the next 48 hours.
