It's a War

Streatham are delighted to announce the return of defenseman James Warman to the line-up for 2016/17.

The Telford born blue liner will be icing in his third season in Streatham colours.

James first joined us in 2013/14 where he made a big impression as solid and reliable defender adept at playing on every line and on special teams.

‘James is settled in London now and a calm and composed presence on the ice despite his young age’ said Head Coach Nick Chinn.

‘He is surprising physical for his size and is composed on the puck which is important for us. He played through the pain barrier at times last year, which shows his character and we know we can rely on him.’

Warman started his hockey career in Shropshire with home town Telford, where he progressed through the junior ranks before icing for the Telford Titans in the ENL in 2009. His performances earned him a call up for GB under 18’s and he played in the World Championships for his country in 2010.

Spells with Bristol Pitbulls and Cardiff NIHL Devils followed before he headed to London.

‘I am very happy to return. The club is run professionally with a great group of guys and the fans are the best in the league’ said 23 year old Warman on his return.

‘We are putting together a strong team and we are looking to compete for silverware again this year.’

James will continue to wear the number 13 jersey and you can sponsor his home or away jersey for only £100.

You get to keep it at the end of the season, however as they are so popular we are going to put all interested names into a hat and draw out the winner over the next 48 hours.
