Number 16 back in SW16

Streatham are delighted to welcome back talented blue liner Casimir Madren-Britton to the squad for the 2016/17 season.

The imposing defenseman will lace up the skates for his tenth consecutive season and brings size and good hands to the roster.

‘Caz has been with the club from juniors and got stronger and stronger following his injury last year that kept him sidelined for part of the campaign’ said Head Coach Nick Chinn.

‘His transitional play and puck control give us good options when breaking out and obviously his size means he doesn’t get pushed around in the corners or in front of the net.’

Madren-Britton’s feet also starred in an advert for Volvo last year and despite being only 24 he is 8th in the all time appearances for the club with over 240 appearances to his name.

A local boy and former Streatham junior with catalogue looks and a beaming smile, Caz is a popular figure in the changing room and is looking forward to another season at Streatham.

‘I am looking forward to playing under Chinny this season’ he explained.

‘I feel like we underachieved the last couple of years and we can progress further this year with a new look team’

‘I have just finished my 5 year part-time degree which took over my life at times, so now I have more time to focus on my hockey and helping the team achieve its goals.’

Caz will continue to wear the number 16 jersey and you can sponsor his home or away jersey for only £100.

You get to keep it at the end of the season, however as they are so popular we are going to put all interested names into a hat and draw out the winner over the next 48 hours.
