Savage news for rivals

Streatham are delighted to welcome back David Savage for the 2016/17 season.

The former EPL and GB under 18 & 20 international is a highly rated blueliner and is a first class addition to the Streatham team.

Savage made his senior debut as far back as 2004 with the Guildford Flames in the old Brtish National League.

‘Savvy joined us towards the end of the season and made an impact straight away last year’ said Head Coach Nick Chinn.

‘His skill level is undisputable but he also has a fantastic temperament that makes him a sought after signing not only in this league but also the league above.’

Savage was a Streatham junior before he went on to make his name largely at Guildford Flames where he won multiple titles and honours between until his departure from the Surrey club to Bracknell in 2015.

Now 27, Savage bring experience, composure and also a big shot to the blue line and scored 5 goals and 5 assists in his 9 league games last term.

‘It was great to join Streatham last year and be back playing where it all started’ said the Streatham number 6.

‘It has really re-ignited my passion for the game and I look forward to challenging for trophies this year.’

Savvy will continue to wear the number 6 jersey and you can sponsor his home or away jersey for only £100.

You get to keep it at the end of the season, however as they are so popular we are going to put all interested names into a hat and draw out the winner over the next 48 hours.
