Who is the Daddy!

Streatham are delighted to announce that Liam Rasmussen will be icing again for the team in the 2016/17 season.

The Danish Destroyer signs up for his 11th season in a Streatham jersey after making 268 appearances so far.

The speedy 28 year old is the 4th all-time appearance maker for the club and a familiar face to Streatham fans.

‘Liam has been a loyal servant to the club and gets on with the job without any fuss or complaint’ said Head Coach Nick Chinn.

‘He has wheels and can create chances on the counter, so we are pleased he has signed up again for another year.’

It has been a great summer for Liam so far as he and his partner Karen have just welcomed their new baby boy Teddy into the world.

Everyone connected with the club is delighted for the couple and hope that one day Teddy can follow in his fathers footsteps and pull on some skates and pick up a hockey stick.

‘I was grateful for all the messages of support’ said Rasmussen.

‘I have played at Streatham all of my life and I am looking forward to another season of hockey in front of our fans.’

Liam will continue to wear the number 26 jersey and you can sponsor his home or away jersey for only £100.

You get to keep it at the end of the season, however as they are so popular we are going to put all interested names into a hat and draw out the winner over the next 48 hours.
